GR-Water project

WP4

Communication and dissemination

This work package aims at disseminating the gained knowledge across all communities and is anticipated to yield outcomes aligned with Goal 4. A communication plan for forest managers, public administrators, and citizens will be an intrinsic part of GRwater, supported by constant updates to the project website.

Dissemination activities will include twice-yearly workshops for partners, writing and publishing papers, and participation in scientific conferences and meetings to present results across all countries involved in the GRwater project. The work package will showcase success stories and develop a near-real-time application as a demonstrator (D4.1). This application will serve as an initiative to raise awareness, share knowledge, and promote water accounting at multiple scales. After developing indicators to measure the impact of the tools, the ultimate goal is to create a guide containing recommendations and a roadmap derived from the findings of WP1-3. This guide is intended for adoption by stakeholders and to inform decision-making (D4.3).

Deliverables

  • D4.1: Near-real-time application as a demonstrator
  • D4.2: Scientific communication
  • D4.3: Guide containing recommendations and a roadmap for adoption by stakeholders and informing decision-making

Infrastructure and Milestones

The infrastructure and personnel necessary for WP4 are detailed in the “Results Dissemination and Utilization Plan” (Section 6.3).

  • Milestone 6 (M6): Before the end of the project (18 months), this milestone is twofold:
    • Decide on patent options
    • Evaluate the state of knowledge dissemination activities, including creating educational materials, workshops, and early project presentations to relevant communities
