About
The GR-water project tackles the growing interest in understanding the fate of water in forest and post-fire management in the Spanish region.
💡 Why “GRwater”?
“GR” carries a dual meaning:
1️⃣ Groundwater, highlighting the project’s hydrogeological focus, and
2️⃣ Gran Recorrido, referring to a network of long-distance, well-managed hiking trails that cross landscapes — an analogy to tracing water pathways through forest ecosystems.
